Paris: Solutions 21, an exhibition of corporate “solutions” to climate change, began Friday December 4 at Le Grand Palais. Protesters called the Solutions 21 event a “corporate greenwashing exercise” and denounced their removal from the event as clear censorship of civil society. Corporate organizations pay up to 250,000 euros to have a stand in the Solutions 21 event. Activists called out the hypocrisy of the event sponsors who actively contribute to climate change then pay big money for political influence and claim to be part of the solution.

A guide to lobbying and greenwashing around the UN climate talks was released November 25. The guide highlights the corporate influence over the UN talks. It provides a map of lobbying hotspots and key climate criminals and details corporate sponsors of COP21 which include companies who support the coal and fracking industries.
“From fossil fuels to finance or industrial agriculture, ‘Lobby Planet Paris’ maps the big corporations, lobby groups and trade associations that are trying hard to capture the climate talks and maintain business as usual, with the help of many governments and international institutions.” – Corporate Europe Observatory
