Protests have grown to tens of thousands in West Bank as Israeli attacks against Gaza grow worse. Protestors say Israeli police apparently used live ammo during clashes with at checkpoint in Qalandiya, between Jerusalem and Ramallah. Two Palestinians were killed in the fights. Some 100 were injured. Earlier, in Gaza, Israeli army shelled a UN school in Beit Hanoun, killing 16 people and injuring 200. Palestinians took shelter in this school, fleeing Israeli army’s airstrikes. Officials with UNRWA said they tried in vain to negotiate the safe eviction of their personnel and civilians.

via +972 Magazine: Since the start of the latest round of fighting in Gaza, Palestinians in Israel have taken to the streets to protest Israel’s military offensive and show solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Hundreds of Palestinian citizens of Israel have been detained in recent weeks, including dozens of minors. Reports abound of abusive interrogations and preemptive arrests of activists who shared Facebook posts about planned protests. See more photos of the past week by Activestills, here.
