On Saturday, August 2nd, at least 800* people took to the streets in solidarity with the victims of Israel’s war on Gaza. The rally was sponsored by many groups calling for social justice, including Answer LA, Jews for Palestinian Right of Return,  Al-Awda, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition, Palestinian American Women’s Association, Arab Americans for Syria and many more.

There were two arrests after the march at the Federal Building of pro-Palestinian protestors. We may provide information on how to help at the request of our contact. There were small numbers of counter protestors with Israeli flags, one of whom was wearing a T-Shirt of the fascist organization, “Jewish Defense League.”

*We initially reported that the attendance for this march and rally was 600+. Other opinions, including some mainstream media, reflect that the numbers were higher, and over 1000.
